Carrots and Courage Against Despair

Despite suffering under Australia’s soul-destroying indefinite detention regime, one young asylum seeker who has been locked up for years has developed a veggie patch,  improving everyone’s diet and contributing to OZ HARVEST a huge box of fresh carrots for the needy.

    Growing food is such a healing thing to do. Giving it away is even more so. Such a lovely thing for this person to do when he could so easily withdraw from the conditions he is forced to live under.

      This really is a testament to his resilience and wanting to contribute even in such a harsh environment.
