BMRSG will be hosting an exhibition for Refugee Week at The Hub in Springwood from 16-22 June.

‘Seeking Safety by Sea’ was created by Melbourne Artist Kate Durham in 2006.

The Exhibition remembers the SIEV-X – the over-crowded Indonesian fishing vessel that in October 2001 was carrying more than 400 people to Australia to seek asylum. More than 300 perished when the SIEV-X sank.

Please visit this free exhibition and the commemoration morning tea on Saturday 21 June, details will be in the June newsletter.
