Acclaimed artist and human rights advocate Moz Azimitibar is holding an exhibition in conjunction with BMRSG at Braemar Gallery in Springwood from 21 May to 21 June. The opening will be on 23 May 2pm to 4pmv.

Moz has been an Archibald Prize finalist 3 times and a Sulman Prize finalist twice.

Moz is a Kurdish Refugee who sought asylum in Australia in 2013 enduring 8 years of offshore and onshore detention before being freed in 2021. We hope that one day soon Moz will be given a permanent visa.

Love, hope and resilience shine through his work. As Moz has said “Love is how we kill the monsters. We are all one family, connected by our humanity.”

BMRSG will be helping to provide volunteers to help supervise the exhibition when it is open to the public. If you are interested in volunteering to assist with the exhibition please email Kathie at kherbert@aapt.net.au
