Join The Calling Party

Join us via zoom on Thursday 30th September from 1pm-2pm AEST to make calls to demand that Scott Morrison provides safe passage for people fleeing the Taliban.

Calling Parties are a fun, fast and powerful way to put pressure on our political representatives.

In this hour-long event, you will receive a briefing about the current state of play and how to make (and log) your calls, then spend about 30 minutes calling a number of senior government ministers and other politicians, before coming back together for a debrief and celebration.

Briefing for constituents to meet with Sydney MPs

Sept. 29 5:30pm to 7pm

Sydney Alliance and our allies nationally are coordinating a briefing for constituents to meet with their local MPs. Together, we can influence how our government supports refugees from Afghanistan.

Our goal is to organise delegations of 20+ people for each MP in Sydney. To prepare everyone, we will bring together local advocates on Wednesday 29th of September, from 5:30pm to 7pm. You will hear from Afghan-Australian leaders who will share their experiences and outline why and how you can take action. Through our collaborations, we will be able to support anyone in Australia to act, not only Sydney-siders.
