Grandmothers for Refugees are holding a fund raising walk to aid BMRSG on Saturday November 6th from Blackheath to Anvil Rock and return.
This route is well formed, easy walking and with only a few small gradients.  There will be several starting points where cars can be left and thus have varied distances suitable for different abilities – beginning at Blackheath Gardens on the Great Western Highway/Hat Hill Rd at 8.30/9.00a.m. about a 15km return walk/ a second starting point at the Airfield carpark at the end of Hat Hill Rd at 9.30am about a 10km return walk/ a third starting point at the carpark beside Hat Hill, where the gate is and the bitumen ends at 10am about a 5km return walk.
All walkers would then meet up in the Gardens [some having walked shorter distances and driven back to the Gardens] at 12.00 – 12.30 for a socially distanced/self catered picnic, get together.
Sponsorship style Fund Raising would be optional but appreciated. Printable sponsorship forms will be emailed to all participants.
Other family members/friends would of course be welcome to join in both walking, fundraising and picnicking.
All BMRSG members and supporters are invited to join us.
