On 20 October, members of BMRSG spent a very happy day at Mayfield Gardens just out of Oberon. Mayfield is one of the largest cool climate gardens in the world.
A coach took 46 of us to Mayfield, which is made up of 64 hectares of fabulous different gardens. As it is Springtime, the blossoms and flowers were magnificent and the weather was mostly kind to us. We had a buffet lunch and there was ample time to see eveeything.
The aim of the day was to provide a forum for members to get to know each other and to raise money for BMRSG.
Most of the attendees expressed a wish to return in Autumn.
So now we intend to return to see the garden in Autumn and we are looking at ways of organising other social events.
