Some positive news when there’s not a lot around

I was quickly drawn to this article in today’s Saturday Paper ($ – Elijah Buol to lead Asylum Seekers Centre) but when I looked at the ASC website, I discovered this news is a month old. Here’s a link to the ASC article.

Of course, it’s sad that we need something like the ASC (and BMRSG!) in the first place, but it’s also good to have more positive stories to direct at the naysayers to counter any arguments about what refugees and asylum seekers bring to Australia.

Kudos to the Saturday Paper for its ongoing support for decency in Australia, and a reminder that The Guardian is just as committed (if not more so) to this cause..
