Work of BMRSG – Swimming Lessons

Every Tuesday 14 asylum seeker children arrive at Blacktown Aquatic Centre for their swimming lesson.
It’s such a happy day for everyone. Not only are the children taking part in the Aus Swim program they are enjoying the social interaction with each other. The parents bring along younger children and eagerly help the children with their swimming before and after their lesson.

It’s an absolute joy to see.
The parents take the opportunity to chat in this happy atmosphere, share the stories of their child’s success and forget the hideous stress that Dutton and his mates have imposed on them.

For me it’s such a happy family time that I get the chance to share.
Thank you BMRSG for letting this happen and thank you everyone that has donated via Everyday Hero.
